Mena Art Gallery is located in the small town of Mena, Arkansas, in the Ouachita Mountains. We support individual and community involvement in the creative arts, and we strive to inspire and serve all ages of artists. We embrace the many artists who have moved to our area from all over the world, bringing with them new ideas and fresh interpretations of art.
We provide workshops, seminars, field trips, classes, art shows, exhibits and more. Most years we will have 12 different shows, many of which have entries open to anyone. Check our exhibits pages (see menu at left) for details about entry dates and themes. The education pages (see menu at left) describe the interesting workshops and classes we offer.
After you explore our website, please put the events on your calendar and visit our gallery.
If you are an artist, or just enjoy the arts, consider coming to one of our members' meeting (third Mondays of each month at 5:30 p.m.) and get to know the other artists: we look forward to meeting you. Because artists often work in creative isolation, our membership meetings strive to provide that sense of connection and encouragement and a forum for ongoing art dialogue. Having a facility of our own—a center for meeting, education, artmaking, and sharing our work with the community—is a unique privilege that not many small city art groups have. Most of our meetings start with a brief presentation from one of our members on some aspect of art.
Or just want a place to enjoy and do your art? Visit the gallery every Tuesday from 10 am to 2 pm for our art day. Our gallery is located at 607 Mena Street in downtown Mena.
